block analitica
Block Analitica, trading as BA Labs, is a DeFi risk analytics firm registered in Singapore and established in 2019. It describes itself as the risk team behind the Sky ecosystem (formerly MakerDAO) and builds dashboards and risk models for Spark, Compound, Morpho, Aave and others. From 2025 to July 2026 it was risk curator of the Lazy Summer Protocol vaults, which took two losses on its watch.
Our read
Block Analitica's collateral analysis for Sky and Spark has the longest continuous run of any firm we track. Its one hands-on curation job went worse: two Lazy Summer losses, about $1.5 million and $6.04 million, with no repayment confirmed. Treat its dashboards and research as the strength and its vault record as the caveat.

What Block Analitica does
Block Analitica builds risk tooling for lending protocols: dashboards that show collateral health, stress tests, and advice on which assets to list and at what limits. Its oldest client is Sky, formerly MakerDAO, where it has done risk work since 2019, and Spark, Sky's lending arm. Its site also lists Chronicle, HyperLend, Compound, Morpho, Ajna, Aave, Ethena, Badger and 3Jane.
Most of that work is advisory: it recommends and a DAO votes. Lazy Summer was different. Summer.fi's vault protocol spreads USDC across strategies it calls ARKs (a Silo market, a Term Finance market and so on), and as risk curator BA Labs set how much each ARK could take. It published a risk framework for those vaults describing how assets were classified and exposure limited. We found no public figure for what it was paid.
The Lazy Summer losses
| Date | Vault | Loss | What went wrong |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 Nov 2025 | Arbitrum USDC (Lower Risk) | ~$1.5M | Silo sUSDX/USDC market; cap set to zero two days before USDX depegged, but utilisation hit 100% and the vault could not exit |
| 6 Jul 2026 | Ethereum USDC Lower Risk and Higher Risk | ~$5.64M + ~$0.40M | Attacker transferred stale-valued receipt tokens into capped ARKs that still counted toward the share price |
In both cases BA Labs had already moved to cut exposure. Its own retrospective on the July exploit, published two days later, puts the gap plainly: 'A cap of zero prevents new authorized allocations... but it does not remove an ARK from the active fleet set or from NAV accounting.' The Silo ARK had been capped for more than eight months. Removing it and freezing withdrawals were governance powers, not the curator's.
That explains the loss without clearing the curator: a risk manager that knows an asset is being wound down can push governance to remove it. Earlier, in late October 2025, BA Labs did get it right, cutting xUSD and deUSD exposure to zero before both collapsed. After July, it stepped down as curator and Summer.fi governance moved to wind the vaults down.
The November 2025 case shows the limits of a cap. BA Labs set the Silo sUSDX/USDC cap to zero on 4 November, two days before USDX lost its peg, but Stables Labs pulled its own liquidity from the market, utilisation hit 100% and the Arbitrum vault had nothing to withdraw. BA Labs' retrospective came 25 days later. A reimbursement in SUMR, Summer.fi's token, was proposed in December; we found no record that it was paid.

Donation attack drains two Lazy Summer USDC vaults
An attacker transferred overvalued Silo and Term Finance receipt tokens into capped but still-active strategies, inflating the vaults' share price, and withdrew about $6.1M. Net losses were about $5.64M in the lower-risk vault and $0.40M in the higher-risk vault.
Not repaidUSDC recovered from vault clean-ups was distributed through Merkl after the loss was socialised (SIP1.9, 22 July 2026). The net loss itself was not repaid, and governance moved to wind the protocol down.Depeg$1.5M
sUSDX market loss in the Lazy Summer Arbitrum USDC vault
The Arbitrum USDC Lower Risk vault lost about $1.5M on a Silo sUSDX/USDC market when USDX depegged. BA Labs had set the cap to zero on 4 November, but Stables Labs withdrew its liquidity and the vault could not exit. BA Labs' retrospective came 25 days later.
Repayment unknownA one-time reimbursement in SUMR tokens was proposed in December 2025; we found no confirmation it was paid.

Yes. BA Labs Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is the company behind the Block Analitica name and dashboards.
Does Block Analitica still work for Sky?+

Were Lazy Summer depositors repaid after the July 2026 exploit?+
Only recovered USDC was returned, after the loss was spread across depositors. We found no payout toward the roughly $6M lost.
