Also known as Nansen AI, nansen.ai, Nansen Smart Money, Token God Mode, NSN points

nansen

Nansen is a Singapore-based blockchain analytics company, led by CEO Alex Svanevik, whose product is a database of more than 500 million labelled wallet addresses and the Smart Money lists built from it. Since January 2026 it has added an AI agent and in-app trading through an embedded self-custody wallet. It has no token yet; it runs an NSN points programme instead.

Our read

Nansen suits traders who act on who is buying what, and after the 2025–26 price cut the Pro plan costs $49 a month on annual billing, a fraction of the old professional tier. The labels are the reason to pay; the new AI trading layer is the reason to be careful, because the product now earns from your trades as well as your subscription. Its 2023 vendor breach leaked emails and wallet addresses, so expect targeted phishing if you had an account then.

What Nansen's on-chain analytics platform does

Nansen started in 2019–20 as an Ethereum wallet-labelling project and built its name on one idea: if you know which addresses belong to funds, market makers and consistently profitable traders, their on-chain moves become a signal. Those addresses are grouped as Smart Money, and most of the product is a set of views over them.

ToolWhat it answers
Smart MoneyWhat wallets with a track record are buying, selling and holding
Token God ModeHolders, flows, exchange balances and top traders for one token
Wallet ProfilerA single address's balances, PnL, counterparties and history
Smart AlertsNotifications on flows, wallet moves and token events
PortfolioYour own holdings across 45+ chains, free

Nansen says it has labelled more than 500 million addresses; its December 2021 Series B post counted over 100 million, so the dataset has grown about fivefold. Ethereum and the big EVM networks still get the deepest labels, and newer chains lag.

Staking is a side business: in September 2024 Nansen bought the validator operator Stakewithus, which then had over $80 million staked, and it runs validators on networks including Ronin.

03

Nansen pricing and plans

Nansen cut its prices sharply. The old Pioneer plan cost $99 a month and the Professional tier started near $999; both are gone. There are now two plans, Free and Pro, and the API runs on credits that come with each plan.

PlanPriceAPI credits
Free$0100 one-off trial credits, then topped up to 10 a day
Pro (annual)$49 a month2,000 on signup, topped back up to 2,000 on the 1st of each month
Pro (monthly)$69 a monthSame as annual

Credits are where the cost hides. A basic balance or transfer call costs 1 credit, Smart Money endpoints cost 5, a common-labels lookup 100 and a premium-labels lookup 500. A Pro allowance of 2,000 therefore buys four premium label lookups a month before you pay for more. Purchased credits expire after a year.

Nansen AI: the agent and in-app trading

On 21 January 2026 Nansen added trading. Users type what they want in plain language, the agent surfaces trades from Nansen's data, and the user confirms each order from an embedded wallet built on Privy, so keys stay with the user. Orders route through Jupiter on Solana, OKX DEX on Base and LI.FI for cross-chain moves. The web version of the agent went live on 29 January 2026.

Nansen's home page now describes the company as moving "from an analytics platform into a trading company" and lists spot and perpetuals on Hyperliquid, Solana, Base and Robinhood Chain. Launch coverage put the trading fee at about 0.25% for free users, lower for Pro. Agent prompts cost separate AI credits.

An analytics vendor that also earns from execution has a reason to encourage trading. The data is the same; read the signals with that in mind.

Nansen's valuation, funding and token plans

Nansen's last priced round was a $75 million Series B in December 2021, led by Accel with GIC, a16z, Tiger Global and SCB 10X, which The Block reported valued the company at $750 million. It had grown by 55 staff since its Series A. In May 2023 it cut about 30% of its workforce, citing market conditions.

There is no Nansen token. The NSN points programme, announced with the Stakewithus deal, credits subscribers and stakers, and Nansen says points may count toward partner rewards and airdrops. Anything sold as an "NSN presale" is not from Nansen.

  1. Data breach

Third-party vendor breach exposed user data

An attacker compromised a third-party vendor serving Nansen and used it to gain admin access to user accounts, exposing email addresses, password hashes and linked wallet addresses for about 6.8% of users. Nansen disclosed it on 22 September 2023, revoked the access and told affected users to reset passwords.

No funds at stakeNansen never had custody of user funds and reported no wallet losses; the risk left over is phishing aimed at the leaked emails and addresses.
