SimpleSwap

SimpleSwap is a swap aggregator that has been running since April 2018. You pick a pair, give a payout address, send the deposit and receive the other coin, with no account. It does not hold an order book: it passes your trade to partner liquidity providers and shows you one quote.

Coverage is the main feature. Cryptowisser counts 2,800+ coins and more than 3.2 million pairs, including memecoins and small-chain tokens. The terms do not say who the partners are, so on any given swap you don't know who the counterparty is.

Where it operates changed in September 2026. The terms in force from 7 September bar all 27 EU member states, plus the UK, the US, Japan, China, India, Colombia and a list of sanctioned or high-risk countries. The EU exit came about two months after MiCA's transition period ended on 1 July 2026.

SimpleSwap is a real service with an eight-year record, and we found no hack or insolvency. The terms still name no operating company, registration number or governing law, although directories place its registration in the Marshall Islands.

The recurring problem is frozen funds. Section 8.1 of the terms lets SimpleSwap freeze any funds suspected of links to illegal activity during enhanced due diligence. Comparison posts from 2026 say that liquidity partners, not SimpleSwap itself, often trigger the review. User reports describe holds on $50,000+ swaps lasting weeks, and a November 2025 case where a refund was refused without KYC.

That last line matters. Even when frozen funds are released, SimpleSwap keeps 1% of the returned amount with a $100 floor, so a small swap caught in review can lose most of its value.

3. 03Send the deposit to the one-time address; a fixed rate expires after 20 minutes.
4. 04SimpleSwap fills the trade with a partner and sends the output; once the status reads Exchanging, the swap can no longer be refunded.

There is no separate fee line. The terms say the final rate comes from market analysis with no hidden charges; the service margin sits inside the quote and network fees are estimated separately. A fixed rate is held for 20 minutes, and the deposit must arrive inside that window.

A loyalty programme cuts the margin by 5% at Bronze up to 40% at the top Platinum tier. Because the margin itself is not published, compare the final amount you will receive against a live mid-market price. Spreads are widest on the long-tail pairs that are the reason to use SimpleSwap at all.

Not for most crypto-to-crypto swaps. ID is needed for card purchases through fiat partners, and whenever automated monitoring or a liquidity partner flags a deposit.
