Attributes wallets to real-world entities and offers most of it free. The bounty marketplace for deanonymisation is a genuine ethical question and we say so rather than skipping past it. Its Arkham Exchange, opened in November 2024, is being switched from a centralised exchange to a DEX (announced 11 February 2026) with no published timeline and no active trading pairs.
Best for: Entity-level attribution across chains, with a free tier that works
8.0 is the weighted average of the five pillar findings below. Does the job well with no material unresolved concerns.
The analytics app holds no funds and needs no keys. But the Arkham Exchange did hold balances, and since the 11 Feb 2026 CEX-to-DEX announcement it has no published timeline and 0 trading pairs on CoinGecko; withdraw anything left there. In Jul 2023 its referral links were shown to expose users' email addresses.
Substantial free tier with transparent paid pricing — the best value in this table.
Corporate entity with clear terms. The bounty marketplace incentivising deanonymisation of individuals is a real ethical concern, not merely a preference.
Good cross-chain entity attribution, though accuracy varies and attributions are not always well sourced.
Clean interface with a genuinely capable free tier.
Strengths
Against it
Arkham gives away most of its entity attribution free at intel.arkm.com, and for reading fund and exchange flows it is hard to beat at the price. Treat its labels as leads, not proof. It also runs the Intel Exchange, where users post ARKM bounties to put names on wallets. That is a foreseeable harm to real people, and it costs points in the compliance pillar.
The exchange side is the part to be careful with. The Arkham Exchange opened for spot trading on 13 Nov 2024 and in the US on 1 Mar 2025; on 11 Feb 2026 Arkham said it is switching to a decentralised exchange, with no published timeline, and CoinGecko lists no active pairs. If you still hold a balance there, withdraw it.
The analytics app has a substantial free tier that is genuinely useful rather than a demo. That is why it scores highest here on cost.
Arkham announced on 11 Feb 2026 that it is converting the centralised exchange into a DEX, and denied it was shutting down. As of Sep 2026 there is no published timeline and CoinGecko lists 0 trading pairs. Withdraw any remaining balance until the new design is published.
It pays people to deanonymise wallet owners, which is a foreseeable harm to individuals rather than a neutral analytics feature. We score it in the compliance pillar and state it plainly rather than treating it as a preference.
